Advocacy

Independent Living

I am  a peer  mentor for all aspects of independent living.  Since summer 2011  this programme was set up by Greater Dublin Independent Living to take the place of the advocate who was no longer able to fulfil this position.  So the peer mentor programmes was put in place instead.

There is also self advocacy and I am also involved in several other initiatives for independent living and community groups.

Community Groups

I am also involved in many community groups.

I was part of the EU EQUAL project, Equality through Ework. I sit on the Board of Southside Partnership and am Vice Chair of Accessible Community Transport Southside (ACTS) (see details below), Disability Interest Group (DIG) and represent the Community and Voluntary Forum in the Disability Consultative Group (formerly known as the Barcelona Team).

I am currently working on a MLit research Masters on the Irish Cultural Institutions and their impact on Contemporary Ireland in Trinity College Dublin (TCD).

I am very interested in other artists and would be happy to exchange links to each others’ websites if you email me.
